How long will my Osteopathic appointment take?
Initial and standard consultation are 30min for single region cases
Double initial and double standard consultation are 1 hour recommended for more complex and multiple regions

A case history, a thorough examination, and careful consideration towards making a diagnosis followed by treatment.
Can I claim Osteopathy on my health fund?
Yes, most if not all health funds cover Osteopathy.
You will need to check with your current healthcare provider if you are eligible.

Do I need to wear specific clothing to my appointment?
We prefer patients to wear comfortable loose fitting clothes.

Is there parking nearby?
Yes, metered Grosvenor St and Grafton St (between Nelson and Newland St) then a short walk passed the Train/Bus terminal to the clinic
Alternatively 2 hour FREE parking across the road at Westfield Shopping centre, entry on Grafton St, head to basement, best access to Grosvenor St from there.

How many sessions will I need with the Osteopath?
For general musculoskeletal injuries, most can be resolved between 3 to 4 visits.
Chronic and complicated cases may need more consideration requiring up to 8 visits.

Do I need a referral to see an Osteopath?
No, you do not require a referral to see an Osteopath.

I was injured at work. Do you accept Workers Comp Claims?
Yes, Osteopaths are registered by AHPRA and approved by SIRA to provide treatment under the NSW workers’ compensation system.

Is Osteopathy covered by Medicare?
Yes. There are specific criteria you have to discuss with your GP to see if you are eligible under the Chronic Disease Management plan.

Do I need an x-ray?
You do not require an X-RAY, CT scan, MRI, and or ultrasound unless the osteopath deems it necessary for the diagnosis of a musculoskeletal injury.

Dry needling? What is it?
Dry needling practitioners insert acupuncture-style needle into myofascial trigger points in the body. This approach releases tight muscular bands and is targeted at specific muscle-tendon junctions in certain areas.​​

I’m pregnant. Can I still receive Osteopathic treatment?
Yes. It is safe to receive Osteopathic treatment whilst pregnant.
